Welcome back! The 2026-2027 school year is upon us and we look forward to another great year for our program. Last year was another terrific year for our program in leadership, service, and competition. We achieved more than 30 hours of community and school service per cadet and our teams won three Area-9 championships for the 2nd year in a row. The orienteers won their 4th consecutive Orienteering State Championship and the 7th in 9 years; they finished 5th nationally competiting in Gainesville, FL. The academic team won the 2nd consecutive Brain Brawl Championship and finished 8th in the nation, competing in Daytona Beach, FL. Lastly, the rifle team won their first ever State Championship and competed at navy nationals in Columbia, MO. The drill team finshed 2nd in the state and the drone team placed 6th. It was an amazing competition year that resulted in Hillgrove winning the Commanders Cup as the top overall competition unit for the 3rd consecutive year. The unit overall was awarded Distinguised Unit status as one of the top units in the nation and the number 2 unit in the state of GA.
As we return from a well-deserved summer break, we look forward to many great events such as competitions, championships, and trips to Parris Island and possibly Orlando, FL, community service events, fall festival, military ball (think Prom only better), awards night, and many others. Leadership and success are not the goals, but rather the result....the result of hard work and opportunity! Let's get to work!
